About These Organizations
The California High School Coalition ("CHSC") and the California High School Network ("CAHSN") are related but legally distinct organizations. The California High School Coalition is filed as a 501(c)(4), a non-profit organization. Because it is organized under section 501(c)(4), contributions to it are not deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes. Each organization is responsible for its own obligations; nothing on this site should be read to merge the two or to make one liable for the other.
Financial & Political Activity
The California High School Network facilitates operations and events for the California High School Coalition, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization. CAHSN is not a political committee, and it is not affiliated with, maintained by, or controlled by any political party, candidate, or officeholder. We are committed to strict legal compliance in all of our activities:
CAHSN does not make political contributions and does not coordinate its activities with any political campaign or committee.
Funds received — including those from our sponsors — are not used for independent political expenditures, electioneering communications, or transfers to third-party political organizations.
We do not engage in any activity prohibited by federal, state, or local law. This includes ensuring all expenses strictly adhere to the gift and entertainment rules that govern interactions with public officials.
This structure maintains a clear separation between the Coalition's advocacy work and the Network's administrative and financial operations.

Cookies & Tracking
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some features may not function without them. We use Google Analytics and other third-party tracking tools. Text Messaging (SMS)
If you provide a mobile number and opt in, we may send text messages about event registration, reminders, and updates. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Opting in to texts is not a condition of registering for any event.
Privacy & Information Sharing
We respect your privacy. We do NOT sell your personal information, and we do NOT disclose it to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing.
One exception, stated plainly: we share limited information with our listed event sponsors — specifically attendee contact lists and general attendance information (such as aggregate counts and the organizations represented) — as part of our sponsorship relationships. Our current sponsors are listed on our Supporters page. If you would prefer that your contact information not be included in materials shared with sponsors, contact us at [email protected] and we will honor that request. You always have the ability to contact us via email at [email protected] to be removed at any time.
We collect only the information needed to run our events and communicate with members and attendees (such as name, organization, role, email, phone, and registration details), and we retain it for only as long as needed for those purposes.
